New lens time!
On a whim, I bought a single $1 lotto scratch off and won $1000. Not a bad profit for a buck, eh? So with my new found riches I decided to grab some new glass to play with. After looking around at a few lenses, I decided to take the plunge into the macro world. The good folks at Precision Camera in Austin had a nice sale going on, and I snagged a Tamron SP AF60mm F/2 Di II. Here are a couple of shots from my first few days of use.

Seems to do well with portrait like shots.
Finally a macro shot! I need to practice! Shooting with a macro lens at 1:1 requires a steady hand and attention to depth of field! Next investment will be a solid tripod!
